This Chapter addresses the regulation of trading venues by the EU. Trading venue regulation is governed by the behemoth 2014 MiFID II/MiFIR regime, which is composed of two legislative measures, the 2014 MiFID II Directive and the 2014 MiFIR Regulation;1 the legislative regime will be amplified by a dense administrative rulebook.
