8.01 According to the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank NV: DCB), the total number of collective investment funds (known as ‘investment institutions’) in the Netherlands is 1,468.1 Only 20 investment institutions are registered with the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (Autoriteit Financiële Markten: ‘AFM’) as undertakings for the collective investment in transferable securities (instellingen voor collectieve belegging in effecten: UCITSs)2 established in the Netherlands.3 This means that in principle, 1,448 investment institutions qualify...
