10.01 Under the Companies Act 2006, Part 25,1 particulars of charges2 created by a company over most types of asset3 or of any floating charge, and the charge document, must be sent for registration within twenty-one days of the creation of the charge. If they are not, the charge will be void against a liquidator or administrator of the company and against any creditor of the company.
