This chapter discusses Article VI of the Bermuda Form, entitled ‘Conditions’, which details the working of the relationship between insurer and policyholder. It sets out how and to whom they communicate with one another; when communication is necessary; how disputes are to be resolved; how and by whom policy elections are exercised; and in general, addresses all of the commonly arising issues of inter parties conduct, viz., how the parties to the policy interact with one another. In most cases, the conditions in the Bermuda Form are not significantly different from those contained in prior forms. In a number of cases, the conditions will have been examined in detail in other parts of this book.
