6.01 After years of preparation, the Swedish Arbitration Act of 1929 and the Act Concerning Foreign Arbitration Agreements and Awards of 1929 were replaced by the Swedish Arbitration Act (SAA) in 1999, which was then updated in 2019. The SAA takes account of developments in international arbitration, notably the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration.
