This chapter explores the modern practice of international sales law. It notes the booming trend of international trade since 2008. Most surveys on how the law interacted with international trade are limited to the geographical approach, the number of respondents, and empirical research. The chapter highlights the Global Sales Law survey conducted by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL). It also includes the significance of CISG in international sales law. The increase in international trade is reflected by a comparable increase in sales law litigation and arbitration.
