This chapter discusses Arts 36-57 included in Chapter III of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Jurisdiction and the Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments (Recast). It covers provisions on the recognition of Member State judgments, documentary requirements for recognition, suspension of the proceedings in which recognition is invoked, the enforcement of Member State judgments, the refusal of recognition and enforcement, appeal against a decision on refusal, and enforcement of penalty provisions in Member State judgments.
